32° and the rain turned to snow last night, wet heavy snow, about 2 - 3 inches looking at the top of my mail box. the Lilac in the back that was putting on leaves is really bent over from all the snow weight.

Re: Tuesday May 6th
Morning. 33 degrees and I can't tell if I'm seeing fine rain or very fine snow. I'm not inclined to go out and see. Snowed last night, but the ground was warm enough that only a skiff is left on the grass. Road is a godawful muddy mess. I suspect this will put an end to the tree blooms, but they were sure pretty while they lasted. I don't think it caught the lilacs, though it is hard to tell about the roses. Would be nice if this was the last day of winter and things became determinedly spring after this.
Mind the thorns.
