Marvin has turned out to be quite the snake finder. Lucky for him he keeps his distance and barks his head off(at least he has so far). Max, on the other hand wants to kill every snake he sees and will attack the slithery serpents, which almost always results in a painful swollen face.
So far this year Marvin has found copperheads (too many to count), 2 coral snakes, 4 or 5 rat snakes, a bunch of those brightly colored grass snakes, and last night found his first timber rattler.
I have a feeling an emergency vet run is in the near future

Oh wow, all those nope ropes. The one just finds them, and keep his distance?
Is he a snake pointer?
And don't coral snakes have a different kind of venom than rattlers and copperheads?

Well, it didn't take long. Yesterday I was supposed to leave for Cloudriders. I say supposed to.
I had a doctors appt early, and thought I would come home, pack up and go. Appointment took longer than expected, and when I got home Kat was in a panic. Max's right leg was swollen and he couldn't walk. Looking close, his right foot was the size of a baseball with 2 bloody spots, the telltale signs he got bit. Off to the vet. I get back from the vet air up m tires and find a nail in my rear tire. Ugh. What a fun day.
Finally made it to Cloudriders today.

Hope the dog has learned a lesson.... glad you still made it to the Cloudriders run.
Re: The new dog and snakes
And people wonder about the advantages of not living in Texas...
Where my daughter lives, there are NO venomous snakes. None. Roy grew up in a place with no venomous snakes. Can you imagine?
Hello to Cloudriders. We enjoyed our time with y'all in Texas too many years ago now.

Hope the snake dog is doing well.
Sure want to do another Cloud Riders, could have gotten there from here with some rain in between, but the ride back home I would have run into snow once I got back up around Casper and here in town.
