61° and smoke is still coming into state from further West.

Morning. 74 degrees, smoky sunshine. At times we can't even see the mountain only a couple of miles away. I hate fire weather. Both ends of the mountain have burned over the last twenty years or so. We're about due for the center strip to burn (fire fighters are already referring to it as the Mohawk fire) and that's where most of the permanent residents live. That section is also in direct line with our area. One can only hope for no lightning fires and no stupid people tricks. We've already evacuated ahead of a wildland fire once and that was all of that kind of excitement we need.
