SIL thought our tree in the back is an Ash tree because of all the "ash" it drops on the ground (patio) besides the little green worms, but I pointed out that It wasn't ash it is dropping but was little tiny green worm poo. But it is not a Popular (cottonwood), neighbor has one that she had trimmed up a year or two ago, but they didn't cut out the large snag in the top. Then I have a crab apple that has quite a few dead branches in it, once the leaves finish dropping I'll get in there with the pole saw and try to trim a few more out.

Good morning, world. 27 degrees and not supposed to get much over 50 today.

Today is as good a day as any to prune some deadwood out of our smaller trees, too. Roy is going to show me how to use the power saw on the thicker branches. I've always preferred my acoustic tools, but I've reached the age where a couple of hours of that level of labor crashes me for the rest of the day. Freaking arthritis. I never liked power tools, but everything has its season.
