Morning. 48 degrees and raining. I suspect the 9:30 a.m. dogwalk with a friend will be postponed. Wet dogs in the car are one thing. Muddy dogs are something else altogether.
Speaking of dogs, Bernese mix puppies are expected out on the ranch any day now. Son and daughter-in-law intended to breed their bitch, but an opportunist male from a neighboring property got to her first. Given the scarcity of puppies due to spay and neuter programs (except on Bucknam Road, apparently), anything but purebreed and "designer" pups are hard to find around here. Older pit-mix dogs are not. I don't imagine there'll be much trouble finding homes for these, even if their father was a generic dog.
