The mattress popper let me sleep until after 6 this morning. Don't know why the one cat pops on the side of the bed, but that is her trick.

Sunny and 58-80 today. A little windy. Heading for California later this week for a friends daughter's wedding. Rented a car for a couple of days. Among the various costs the rental company is charging me is a $9.99 tourist fee.

Yeah CA has to get a charge for everything , might be like a TOT (transient occupancy tax) like is charged on hotel rooms.
And if you think you are going to do a quick trip into Yosemite, they have been having people get a reservation to enter the park for going on three or more years now.
The East gate Tioga Pass entrance is likely still closed due to snow until late June.

Reservations to a National Park... depressing, but Yosemite has been overrun for fifty years. Just wait until there is no one left to guard the gate.
