Monday January 13th

Post by Far Rider »

:coffee: Morning everyone.

9°f the snow came in around 9 last night, ended up with 1/2 - 1 inch total, the wolf moon is really lighting up the back yard this morning.
Supposed to be dropping into the minus range Saturday.

Good luck with the dog. Sad that the shelters won't take it in without you paying such a steep fee.

Happy Monday everyone.

We named the new dog Marvin. After the South Park character Starvin' Marvin.

We cut his collar off, it was a mess and couldn't be removed normally. His ears are all scarred up, and his upper canine teeth (fangs) have been removed. It looks to us he was used as a bait dog. I removed 2 burrs from his front paws, for which he seemed thankful. He seems to trust me for some reason but is wary of Kathryn. The other dogs seem annoyed with him (or jealous), so he's not permitted in the kennel yet. He didn't mind sleeping outside in the cold.
Life is like riding a motorcycle. Balance is key, unless you’re at a stoplight and forget to put your feet down. Then, balance is just embarrassing.

Welcome to Marvin, and blessings on his head in his new life.

Sunny and 24 degrees rhis morning. Air is behaving at only 15 mph.

Yesterday I took the 10 month old Labraglutton puppy to live at our son's ranch. My grandson had bonded with her and she is too high energy for us old people. When I left, she had a great big elk leg bone to chew on and was romping with the other three dogs, including a Bernese pup who is about six months older than she is. Pretty quiet around here with only one dog and two cats. Tha animal population at our house has not been this low since 1980.
Mind the thorns.
