:coffee: Morning everyone.

25°f and dark out still.

The koi ponds are busy with more geese and a couple of flocks of widgeons circled several times before landing. They don't seem to stay long like the mallards.

The first day of winter. Never know it here, with temps hitting in the 80's

Funny thing when we were looking at places to move to from Bridgeport CA, one of the areas was around Kingman AZ, which I don't really understand due to the wife's aversion to hot, but then again she really doesn't like cold either. There was a place outside of Kingman on the way to Wikiup that had several buildings on it, one was kind of the main house and others were more like studios, and you had to go haul your water in from some well somewhere near. Kind of like around Dolan Springs where my grandmother had bought a acre of land with rights to a local well to get your water from.

Happy Midwinter Day. Actual sunrise is 7:34, but due to the mountain and ridges leading off of it, we don't see the sun for another 20 minutes.

Beautiful day. No wind yet and clear as a bell. 24 degrees. I went for a walk while waiting for the sun to rise and it ws perfect. Don't get perfect very often.

A fair number of people in Natrona County have to haul water. Some of them come to town to get it from the community pump, then haul it for miles. Not an ideal situation, to say the least. I wouldn't buy a place without potable water, but that's just my spoiled, entitled attitude speaking, no doubt. Also could have something to do with a season of hauling water while I worked for the Forest Service and lived in the middle of Nowhere.
Mind the thorns.

Happy Saturday. Should get close to 60 here today.

It's going to get cold here soon. Not like Texas cold, like real cold. Not a fan of winter.
Life is like riding a motorcycle. Balance is key, unless you’re at a stoplight and forget to put your feet down. Then, balance is just embarrassing.
