Re: Friday August 9th
Morning. 56 degrees and drizzly. Darn those Canadians, foisting their August coldfronts off on us.
On the way home from Colorado yesterday afternoon, I got a text from Kensington Publishing's publicity people asking when I was arriving. I explained no one told me I was supposed to arrive anywhere. Apparently, they spent two months planning for an upcoming southern independent bookseller's convention this weekend and no one thought to invite me. Everyone thought someone else had done it. Anyway, long story short, I'm flying to Washington DC at 7 a.m. tomorrow morning and will be back home at 10:00 Sunday night.
Just keeping it surreal. I've never been Back East.
However, I will get to see the book, and that's pretty exciting. I was hoping they'd send me a copy since I knew they had a bunch of advanced reader copies made for the occasion.

Mind the thorns.
