The Hogsty

Morning everyone.



22°f and no wind, still hinting at a 20% chance of snow, had a few flakes fall for about a half hour yesterday.

Morning. 25 degrees, mostly cloudy, possibility of snow flurries. Air relatively well-behaved at 16-20 mph. Headed out to the ranch today to take my grandson home. I want to do some target practice with my new pistola if it's not too miserable to be outside out there on the steppe.

Somebody dumped a dog here. Well, at least close by. He was starving, literally. Skin and bones. So sad. It's obvious he has no training whatsoever. I've tried calling local shelters, but they all want $200 to drop a dog off. Not gonna happen. Heck, I've got 50 acres of woods and a tractor to dig a deep enough hole so the coyotes won't dig him up. I'll feed him for now.

For some reason, my other 2 dogs, who want to annihilate ANYTHING that comes on our property, didn't want to kill him. When I walked outside and he was there, they were just laying on their cots watching him rummage through our stuff. Really weird.
