17° f was wind free and got up to a balmy 44° yesterday.


Yes, painting my bedroom is in my future within the next year, but there is a rolling slide out shelf for one of the kitchen cabinets for pots and pans to install looming sooner.

Another 40's to 70's day. I'll take it.

Morning. Sunny and bright, 40 degrees, the air is moving at 35-40 mph with higher gusts. Supposed to pick up to just under 50 mph tonight. Got another couple of limbs down from the chinese elm tree. We had it trimmed back hard a few years ago. Didn't cut it down completely because it's a habitat tree. I think what I'm eventually going to do is cut everything off the trunk except two leaders, then grow virginia creeper over it to give the birds nesting in the truck some cover.
