Hostgator hasnt responded yet. I guess holiday weekend has smething to do with it.

Ok, I’ve had it with HostGator. I’ll be switching to another host during the week as I recover from surgery. Until then the refresh button will be your best friend. Hit it until the page loads. Hopefully I don’t totally muck things up.

Okay, site is up on new hosting provider. I think I got everything, but I know I probably missed something

Funny, I just now received an update from Hostgator, 8 days after opening the issue with them. They claim

I am happy to say that our engineers have fixed the server-side issue that was causing 504 Bad Gateway errors. https://hogsty.com/forums/ is working fine now. I have attached a screenshot of this page for your reference.

I am not sure if they actually fixed it or simply accessed the site on the new webhosting platform and decided to take credit for having no errors.

Having worked with Indians in the past, I am going to guess the latter. They love taking credit for other people's work. And then they want a "major award" for doing so.

Site seems to be functioning normally; I'm getting the normal daily number of registrations from Russia.

Page load times (on my end) are ranging from 0.025s to 0.062s.

I'll call it good. Please let me know if you see anything that needs fixing.
