Morning. 57 degrees. Sorta cloudy but sorta not.
Flew to Washington DC this weekend, leaving at 6 am Saturday from home. Got home last night at 10 pm. In between I was at a booksellers convention to help sell my book. It was a last minute deal. My publisher spent two months setting this up, getting advanced reader copies, etc. but due to a personnel issue (someone quit), no one thought to check and see if they'd told me about it.
I found out about it Thursday when the publicity guy called to see when I'd be arriving in DC. They scurried around, got plane tickets for me, and I made it to the last day of the convention to pitch the book to the booksellers.

Morning all.
Had a starving dog show up over the weekend. I mean literally starving, like you could see his ribs, hips, skinny as all get out. For some reason my two dogs didn't want to kill it. I took it to a vet on Saturday to see if it was chipped, but no luck. It's pretty obvious he was dumped out here. I've been feeding it and gave it flea and tick medicine, but really can't afford another dog. The local shelters want $200 to drop him off. What to do? Hope the coyotes or maybe a panther eats him?

Nope. You've got another dog. God doesn't make mistakes when She sends pups our way. This is going to be the best dog you ever had. You might have to change your moniker to TXDawg.

I second that assessment!
