For those in attendance at the biggest VukFest when Mega-Glide, 8-Ball and Gray rider showed up along with Doofs from all over, you might remember the ride to the MD 43 'Shrine'. We crossed the Francis Scott Key Bridge on the way there.

I have crossed that bridge many times both in a cage and on my scoot. Especially when we had our boat down on the Chesapeake. The news today of its collapse was a bit of a punch to the gut.

Yeah, just wow. That is a MAJOR artery along the east coast. They say it'll be down for 4-5 years!!!!!!!

There are those out there citing intel sources saying it wasn't an accident.

Heard news reports today that said the ship had suffered similar sudden electrical shut downs before.

I think I read that it crashed once before to, over in Europe somewhere. However, ships entering our rivers are piloted by the Coast Guard.

There's something fishy about this whole situation.

Depending on the port, they do have to have a "Hobor Pilot" on board coming in from 'open water' to their dock and from their dock back to open water'. Harbor Pilots are experienced Captains trained in port navigation specific the port at which the work.
