Morning all . . . :coffee:

56° made it to 92° here in town.

Drove to Riverton yesterday to pick up my glasses, I think we got into the canyon around noon, I noticed traffic signs laying down on the ground at the view of the river pull outs and wondered what they were doing in the canyon. On the drive back to here I found out they were grinding those "buzz strips" down the center line with a huge grinding machine. Because about mile marker 125 past the teepees on the river a line of traffic in front of me had just started rolling and we drove on the Southbound lane until about the Wedding of the Waters boat launch area. The South bound traffic was being held and was backed up to almost the cut where you first see Round Top when you crest the rise after the bridges over the river. So there were probably a bunch of "important" people trying to make time after being held up.

Greetings, earthlings. Currently 62 degrees on the ridge with a predicted high of 88. Celebrating my son's 36th birthday by turning his great-great-great grandfather's 1842 French double-barreled shotgun over to him. Originally a flintlock, the shotgun was refitted for percussion at some point. GGG grandfather carried it in the Civil War. It came down to me through the line of eldest children in the family, and continues on the same way. Actually, it was always the eldest sons, but they made an exception for me. I was, if I may be so immodest to say so, the best marksman in my generation of the family. Probably still am.

Good morning, not much of anything interesting to report. Just another sunny in the 90's day.
Getting ready for a trip to Washington State in a week.
