Morning all . . . :coffee:

59° this morning heading up to the mid eighties.

The thing I hated about tar snakes was they were either squirmy when hot or slick when they were cold.
Was riding back from ES with Geno and his wife and we went to breakfast in Albuquerque and I can recall which one rolled over a large one in the parking lot, but we had to stop because they thought they had a flat tire when they felt the squirm rolling over one in the parking lot.

Good morning, A little rain last evening. By a little I mean 15 minutes. What I hate to see is clueless pet owners taking their dogs out of a car in a 110 degree parking lot and walking them across the super hot asphalt.
Cooler today , 98 high.

Morning. 62 degrees, headed for the mid-eighties.

The backroads around Casper are either unpaved or a tangled mass of tar snakes, thanks to bentonite clay and annual frost heaving. When I started riding again after a 20 year hiatus, I adjusted without thinking about it because there weren't many routes without those tricky black road reptiles. Stiff sidewinds and nervous antelope added their own challenges. I understand there are parts of the country where people ride without encountering free range cattle and sheep, but what's the fun in that?

Sigh. I miss my bike.
