Morning everyone.


54°looks clear and no wind at the moment, had that thundershower move through last evening.

A hot 102 today. Tomorrow it hits 107. I will be starting my trip to Ventura ,CA. then, with an overnighter in Blythe. The high there is 114.

Afternoon. Thought it was hot here at 85 degrees. Went out at 9:00 a.m. to exercise my right to assemble freely. I'm not much on sign carrying and chanting, but I suit up and show up. There were ten times the people I expected to show up in this red state, and most of the drive-bys were in the same frame of mind. A National Guard truck with flags flying and No Kings signs drove around the block repeatedly. Representing the orange side: one "Support Trump" screamer in a truck, one "Go back to Caifornia" shrieker in a Buick, and one guy in a lifted restored pickup who pulled up to the curb, revved his engine, and jack rabbited the accelerator a few times in an attempt to intimidate people on the sidewalk. All in all, a good morning.
