If you plant them earlier, they'll just get caught in a late spring freeze. The only defense is ripening them inside, fried green tomatoes, and green tomato chutney.

Morning. 57 with a predicted high of 73. Over the course of 36 hours or so, we got slightly more than 2 inches of rain, which is a sixth of our annual average rainfall. Nice for everything to get a last good drink, but some of this during the summer wouldn't have been unwelcome.

I was the main moderator for a dance forum for around ten years and a sub-moderator for a decade before that. The administrator installed some kind of program that immensely reduced the time I spent smiting spammers, though there was still smiting to do of the more insidious beasts.
