Morning all . . . :coffee:

around 38° and the moon is full or almost, looking out my kitchen window at it.

Both ships I was on had either just returned from or deployed to a different part of the world so, never went to South East Asia.
Hiking up My Fuji was a cold and drizzly day so we decided to go back down without going to the summit. Should wish we had stuck it out.

Good morning. Windy and 72 out right now. High around 82. Have to go to the DMV today for a smog test on the car. NO fun!

Morning. 51 degrees and sunny. Looks like we might be able to take the walk during my nature writing presentation this morning instead of spending the whole two hours inside the library.

My grandson wants to go to Japan after high school. Except for seeing Fujiama, Japan never called to me. Too many people, I think. My dad was in the Army of the Occupation and arrived in Nagasaki on Christmas Day after the bomb was dropped in August. I don't recall how long he was stationed there before he was transferred to Kokura, but it was long enough that he eventually died of non-Hodgkins lymphoma. It got a lot of people who were exposed to radiation.
