Morning all . . . :coffee:

42° the air is still, unlike yesterday afternoon.

I ate rhubarb pie, didn't eat it raw. Lemon meringue pie I didn't care for, maybe because it didn't have much of the lemon sour tang taste to it?

Hope all went well at hospital and you have a new grandchild. Maybe you can steer some of the rain over our way.

Wish the best for the new baby and mother. Temps are breaking records here. Over 100 will be the norm for this coming week.
An old Irish friend once gave me a piece of her secret family receipt cherry pie years ago. It became my favorite. It was a standard cherry pie but with a layer of bananas added under the top crust.

It's night, but here I am anyway. Baby Girl arrived shortly before 6:00 last night, weighing in at 9 and a half pounds. Had her 24 hour check an hour or so ago and all turned out normal. She did inherit hyperekplexia, a genetic thing that my daughter, other granddaughter, and I have. Not what we wanted, but no great surprise, either.

As for pie: coconut pecan is probably my favorite, though plain pecan or coconut will do in a pinch.
